I don't really know what I'm going to do with them, although I have lots of ideas running through my head. The small one would be pretty with a candle inside, especially if I was able to pick up a few more in that size--although supposedly that size is more desirable and thus harder to find...or so I've been told. I like the idea of tying ribbons around the necks of the jars and using them as a centerpiece. And of course they would make pretty vases for some flowers from the yard.
Look at the color--so pretty!!

I turned to Google for ideas and found quite a few--most of which centered around turning the jars into lamps, lights, drinking vessels, and soap dispensers...none of which really interest me. If I had more room on my counters, I think I would fill the jars with noodles and whatnot and actually *use* them rather than just display them...but my kitchen isn't big enough for that.
So, for now I just keep them and bring them out occasionally to admire them gleaming in the light. Hopefully by fall I'll figure out something to do with them--they just seem so "fall" to me for some reason!

Great jars...wish I had some fabulous ideas to share with you though....
Love the jars. Thanks for the sweet comment. Something will come to you, my jars sat empty for a while and then one day it just popped in my head.
Good luck and if I think of anything I will let you know.

I love the jars, I think they are beautiful on their own and when you come across the perfect thing to put into them, they will be prettier still.
I love the color of them too. Maybe they remind you of the fall cause thats when my Grandma started canning. It's kinda a fall thing... Wouldnt they look so cute filled with candy corn and those lil pumpkins... I just cant wait till fall... Susie h~
oooh super cute!! I love vintage bottles!! I am with you, I love the color! They don't make things like they used too!!
I am thinking what you could do with them. Do you have a place that you could put them in your bathroom? Maybe with cotton balls, makeup brushes, toothbruses, anything tall that you store. Just a thought. I have some shelves that I picked up at walmart for 10 bucks-I hung them above my toilet in the bathroom. It solves the storage problem, plus it fills the desire to decorate the bathroom!!
I love your jars! I have a bunch of them. Some of my favorites were given to me by my husbands grandma. A few more I bought at antique fair in Lancaster, PA about 10 years ago. I always buy them when I see them for a good price. I don't actually USE them... though I should find a use or stop buying them. lol
I am always drawn to those jars. They are so pretty. I've never bought any though because I don't know what to do with them. :) Can't wait to see what you decide!
I recently found your blog and am digging through the archives. You are so inspirational to me as I venture out to decorate our home... finally! What did you ever end up doing with these jars. I bought some a few years back and they sit on a bookshelf attached to my fireplace. I'd love to see what you did with them!!!
